From 2 August 2021, the Meatco Factory was placed under restriction (Red Cross Permit) after it received animals from the Surveillance Zone. The process will be ongoing until we further notify our producers.

Producers are cautioned to carefully verify all documentation accompanying the animals they deliver to our Export Abattoir to avoid having animals sent back to the farm of origin. As this would result in the Directorate of Veterinary Services (DVS) putting the producer's farm under restriction for 30 days.
