Producers are reminded that Wednesday, 30 September 2020, is the last day to sign Advance-booking requests for November 2020.

The slaughter prices for November will be announced on today, 25 September 2020, for proper preparation well in advance. Booking in advance allows for capacity planning at Meatco’s Windhoek abattoir.

We urge producers to assess their marketing needs and confirm bookings with Livestock Production and Value-addition personnel by telephone or e-mail as soon as possible. 

Bookings and enquiries in the areas of Grootfontein, Otjiwarongo, Gobabis and Okakarara should be forwarded to Rivonia Omes at 0817854609 or 067-317901. In the Windhoek area, contact Michelle Victor at 061 321 6446. For the Okahandja area, contact Vekondjisa Katjivena at 061 321 6016 and Elvis Uanivi at 061 321 6019 and the Technical Advisors (TAs).
