The Meatco Windhoek Factory will officially resume with slaughter as from 28 January 2019 after the Festive season closure as from 21 December 2018, with operations resuming on Monday, 21 January 2019.

In addition to the reopening of the different factory sections, the Annual Medical Screening for cattle/beef abattoir will be conducted as from 21 January 2019.

Meatco will continue with block slaughters after re-opening and, as a result, the first deboning will take place on 30 January 2019.

In addition Producers will be informed of their February allocated slaughter dates not later than 18 January 2019. All booking requests are to be accompanied by a producer number, amount of cattle as well as the preferred slaughter date for each load.
