Recently-appointed Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry (MAWF), Honourable Alpheus !Naruseb, recently visited Meatco as part of a familiarisation tour of businesses that falls under his ministry.

The minster was welcomed by Meatco Board Chairperson, Martha Namundjebo-Tilahun, her fellow board members and Meatco Senior Management.

Honourable !Naruseb was taken on a tour of the Meatco facilities to see operations first hand.

During the tour, the minister said he was quite impressed by Meatco’s food safety activities, adding that it is easy to see why Meatco can guarantee quality products at all times.

At the end of the tour, Meatco Senior Management and board members made a presentation to the minister about Meatco’s business, and thereafter engaged him in a question and answer session.

The discussions touched on a range of issues, including the NCA, existing and new markets, and Meatco’s business format.
