On 19 September 2017, Meatco engaged the Namibia National Farmers Union (NNFU) with an empowerment exercise.

The NNFU with their members Zambezi Meat Corporation (Zamco) PTY LTD, To Join Others Means Earning Treasure abbreviated as Tjomet, and Kiat Investment Holdings held the meeting aimed at capacity building for the newly appointed abattoir operators, mainly those one who will be operating in the Northern Communal Area (NCA) and the Omaheke Region.

The engagement with Meatco’s executive and technical staff focused on capacity building and how to efficiently manage abattoir operations. The team visited Meatco’s Windhoek Factory for thorough exposure of its set-up and systems.

Meatco was happy to engage with the new operators and assured them of their goodwill.
