In December 2014, the Meatco Foundation and its partners implemented the Meatco Comprehensive Health Management Services and Outreach Project.

The clinic-centred initiative that ran until December 2016 was aimed at establishing a sustainable and effective health management system that provides health care services to Meatco staff and their dependants. Since its creating, the Windhoek Factory Clinic has benefited Meatco employees tremendously in several ways.

Through this initiative, the clinic was revamped and a basic Food Handlers Medical Programme initiated from which several tests on employees’ lungs, ears and eyes were carried out and record keeping on health-related medicals was conducted.
