Meatco partners with Hollard for POYA

19 Feb 2016

Meatco is pleased to announce the recent signing of a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Hollard Insurance Namibia. The agreement entails a sponsorship of N$150 000 per year towards the annual Meatco producer awards for an initial 3-year period (2016-2018).

Meatco’s annual Producer of the Year Awards (POYA) is a remarkable and unique event, and we are proud to have Hollard on board since it is of great benefit to producers. This year the awards take place on 11 March 2016 under the theme “climate change in the savannah”.

The awards are in line with Meatco’s main objective of serving the producers, and recognise their tenacity and resilience in the face of many obstacles such as the drought and FMD outbreaks.

Hollard is delighted to have the opportunity to work with Meatco, an organisation that has demonstrated their commitment to the farming industry. “We look forward to a long and fruitful working relationship,” says Jaco Lamprecht, CEO of Hollard Namibia.

Hollard Namibia is dedicated to finding ways to reinvent the insurance industry through innovative products and excellent service. The company strives towards this goal for the benefit of their clients, many of whom are farmers. Meatco believes that both parties will be enriched by the collaboration, as it brings two industry stakeholders together.

Jaco Lamprecht of Hollard Insurance Namibia and Vehaka Tjimune of Meatco represented the two entities at the signing ceremony.
