MeatMa insights: Rewards card

Launched in 2014, MeatMA is a complete range of quality value-added meat products produced through Meatco’s Local Markets and Value Addition department.

MeatMA products are available to local Namibians at affordable prices allowing Namibians access to the quality produced products.

MeatMa opened its first retail outlet in August 2014 next to Meatco’s Head Office in Windhoek. Another outlet was launched in July 2015 at Bonanza in Oshakati.

Further to Meatco’s mission to bring products closer to the people, consumers can obtain a MeatMa Reward Card that gives 2% cash back on every purchase.

Any customer may buy at MeatMa, with or without a MeatMa Reward Card. However, with the Rewards Card, the clients have the benefit of accumulating points with each purchase and such points can be redeemed at any stage for exchange in purchasing MeatMA products.

Once issued, a Reward Card gives MeatMa customers contact details which allow MeatMa to communicate any product news when necessary.

The production unit also referred to as MeatMa Central where value-added products are manufactured, is located at Meatco Wholesale in Windhoek's Northern Industrial Area.

At MeatMa’s inception, Meatco teamed up with the Metro Sefalana Group and distributed the products country-wide through their stores.

Today, MeatMa products can also be found at Woermann Brock stores, selected OK Food & Grocer stores, Choppies Supermarkets, Shaamu in Okahandja, Windhoek Cash & Carry and some small butcheries and retailers like Mondesa Mini Market.

All the available products have been researched and developed in Namibia to cater for the various needs of Namibian families offering variety and affordability.

They are subject to Meatco’s strict quality practices like would be expected from a world-class meat exporter.
