On Saturday 29 July 2017, the third annual Nedbank Kapana cook-off came to an end with Rebeka Sebulon being crowned champion.

Aspiring entrepreneur Rebeka battled it out against 14 other entry-level kapana cookers from across the country to emerge victorious, winning N$15 000, a mobile kitchen worth around N$80 000, as well as entry to an all-expenses paid SME mentorship programme administered by businesswoman Twapewa Kadhikwa.

For the competition, MeatMa sponsored the main ingredient namely kapana meat, while co-sponsors Fruit & Veg City took care of groceries and water. The Namibian Chefs Association (NCA) provided professional judges as well as the cutlery, bowls and other utensils.
