NTF hosts public-private dialogue

The Namibia Trade Forum (NTF) hosted the first public-private growth strategy dialogue in Windhoek on 17 May to discuss cross-cutting issues relating to market access and enterprise development.

Meatco’s Tannery Senior Manager George Kotze, was invited to speak at the event where he focussed on the leather industry, speaking about the sector’s growth, prospects and challenges.

“The industry’s major contributors in the formal market are Nakara, Okapuka, Brukarros with two known traders in the informal market namely ANPRO and LIBRA, as well as various collectors. Collectively, the industry contributes between N$500 million and 600 million to the national economy,” Kotze says.
