Mr. Edwin Dennis Beukes has been appointed as a Co-Opted Board Member of the Meatco Board. His appointment is effective as from 9 March 2016 to 3 October 2016, when the term of the current Meatco Board Members also comes to an end.

Mr. Beukes holds a Masters degree in Business Leadership as well as a BCompt and BCompt honours degree from UNISA. Amongst other qualifications, he also has a Certificate in Theory of Accountancy (CTA) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Auditing Theory and Corporate Governance.

He has worked for various large companies including:

• KPMG: Auditor in Charge
• AMCOM: Chief Internal Auditor
• Namibia Beverages (Coca Cola): Group Accountant
• Namib Mills: Financial Manager
• NamWater: Senior Financial Manager
• Saunderson Theron and Partners: Audit Assurance Partner
• NHE: General Manager Finance
• EDB & Associates: Managing Partner, Sole Practitioner and Registered Auditor

Since 2007 Mr. Beukes has also been a lecturer at the University of Namibia.

He serves on the following Boards:

• CRAN (formerly NCC) as Board Member: Chairperson of the Audit Committee
• Namibian Standards Institute (NSI) as Board Member: Chairperson of the Audit Committee
• Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB) as Council Member Chairperson – Educational Committee
