A delegation of Food and Science technology 3rd year students from the University of Namibia visited the Meatco Windhoek Factory on Thursday 14 April as part of an exposure tour to one of Namibia’s leading food processing plants.

The excursion sought to teach students the competencies they need for real-world success. Although the real world can be simulated in the classroom and laboratory, authentic experiential learning creates an invaluable opportunity to prepare students for a profession or career. At Meatco we are staunch believers of practical learning because through this kind of experience, students can reflect on what they’re seeing and doing.
