Safety Health Environment and Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance

Given all the processing in the abattoirs, it is essential that Quality Assurance is maintained. All Meatco's processes are in keeping with international standards, and testing of the meat is done daily at Meatco's internal laboratory.

A new laboratory is currrently being built where more tests can be done. Meatco is also working towards having the laboratory accredited according to international standards for exports.

With the systems currently in place we are also able to trace our meat products, and if a problem detected, we can easily trace back to the cattle that was the source.
